ADRENALINE HUNTER JUST CLOSED A €600 000 BRIDGE FINANCING TO BECOME THE 1st ONLINE BOOKING PLATFORM FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WORLDWIDE

Only a year after its €600,000 seed round, with 25% monthly growth in 2017 and 67% of international clients, the startup just closed a bridge financing of € 600,000 in preparation for a Series A expected for this Summer. This intermediate financing brings the total amount invested to €1.2 Million since Adrenaline Hunter’s creation.

Adrenaline Hunter raised the €600,000 financing from its historic investors and three new shareholders. Participantsq to the round include Denis Fayolle, a serial entrepreneur who has previously founded LaFourchette.com (a restaurant booking service acquired by TripAdvisor three years ago).

The amount raised will be dedicated to strengthening the international growth and tech innovations (mobile features, algorithmic predictive system based on weather data, “Yield” tool management for activity providers).

4 major development areas:

International expansion: Adrenaline Hunter now offers 2,600 activities in 48 countries. The objective is to increase the catalogue and to double the number of activities in the international market. Adrenaline Hunter wants to strengthen its position within its existing destinations and develop others, in order to reach 5,000 listed activities at the end of 2017.

New mobile features: Adrenaline Hunter currently generates 45% of its bookings on smartphones. The company is preparing a new mobile-optimized website and an app for the end of 2017. A geolocation system will also allow users to find “extreme sports and outdoor” activities close to their current and prospective holiday location.

Algorithmic weather forecast predictive system: By 2018, thanks to a predictive algorithmic system, the site will also push specific activities according to weather conditions.

Develop a smarter pricing & yield management tool. Adrenaline Hunter is developing an integrated price and availability management tool to allow suppliers to develop their Yield Strategy. The objective (through targeted promotions and discounts) is to increase occupancy rates during off-peak periods. Those tools are already well known to hoteliers and transporters, but still non-existent among the suppliers of sports activities.

With 2,600 online activities, 48 countries, 456 spots, 920 partnering professionals and 25% monthly average growth, Adrenaline Hunter already facilitated the booking of outdoor activities for 4,500 people.

Adrenaline Hunter aims to become the go-to platform worldwide for booking extreme sports and outdoor activities, regardless of the sports level, location, or the country of its users.

Launched in May, 2016 by Maud Mathe and Philippe Bichet (two extreme sports aficionados) and Denis Fayolle (a successful serial entrepreneur), Adrenaline Hunter has a balanced team with complementary backgrounds: Maud, former CMO at Excursiopedia in Munich, has international experience in Marketing / Product (Italy, South Africa, Germany) and she leads Product and Sales development. Philippe manages Operations and the financial side of the startup, having worked 8 years in banking investment and M&A in Paris & Singapore. Denis, a successful serial entrepreneur, co-founded LaFourchette.com and Habiteo and accompanied ManoMano and ZenSoon (all successful startups). With its tech and business experiences, he helps Adrenaline Hunter accelerate it’s growth.
