Welcome to my blog 🙂
if you care to learn some more things on who is writing, here are a few words:
I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece on 1977 and grew up in Halkidiki and later in Kilkis, a small and friendly town in North Greece. I got my first Amstrad 6128 on 1987 which got me the tech virus, so I went on to study Electrical and Computer Engineering in Democritus University @ Xanthi.
Once graduated, I moved to Athens to work @ Microsoft and completed an MBA and a PhD at the Electrical and Computer Engineering School of the National Technical University of Athens. I enjoy speaking English and used to speak better French and German than I do now 🙂
On a professional level, I have been working in Microsoft Greece since 2000 in different roles (marketing/technology evangelism/sales) and currently I hold the responsibilities of the General Manager ofMicrosoft Innovation Center in Athens and the Education Lead for Microsoft Greece.
I am passionate about technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and education in Greece and have a full belief in the young talent we have in the country. Thanks to my work roles, I have been invited to deliver speeches in around 200 events regarding technology, innovation & education.
I have been also working as a European Union expert in RnD projects and holding a mentor role in different international Startup Accelerators/Funds, while being a member of the National Council for Competitiveness and Development.
In my free time, I enjoy writing and playing music (keyboards/guitar/singing like Elvis etc.) and travelling around the world. You can friend me at www.twitter.com/draganidis and contact me viaLinkedIn.

What is 3d Printing?
To put it simply, it is a machine in which you place some raw material (plastic/metal etc), you download a 3d printing file and it melts the material layer by layer until it creates a full object: e.g. a small toy, a cup, a Nokia Lumia case or a house. Go here orhere to see what you can 3d print and watch the video below on how the popular Cube 3d printer works (cost of Cube 3d printer=1499USD)
